My Hero One’s Justice 2 Reveals New Playable Characters and New Features

Bandai Namco has given us a look at new characters coming to My Hero One’s Justice 2. With three official character trailers and one villains only trailer, the game is expanding the roster of the first game.

Developed by Byking and Produced by Bandai Namco, My Hero One’s Justice 2 will feature a total of forty characters. While there may be some duplicated characters, they will all play very differently, just like how the characters evolve in the anime.

The most recent characters announced include:

  • Camie Utsushimi (Quirk: Glamour)

  • BMI Hero: Fat Gum (Quirk: Fat Absorption)

  • Gang Orca (Quirk: Orcinus)

  • Izuku Midoriya - Full Cowling 100% (Quirk: One for All)

  • Nomu (Quirk: Shock Absorption, Super Regeneration) - PRE ORDER BONUS

With all of these new characters coming to My Hero One’s Justice 2, everyone should have a hero or villain to gravitate.

At first glance, this sequel may seem like a cash grab from Bandai Namco, but there are more than just new characters to play. Developer Byking has implemented new game features that might not have been able to be patched into the original title.

For instance, players can now sidestep in battle, allowing them to navigate the 3D space a little more during combat. This new sidestep can help players dodge incoming attacks.

Environments are now destructible, which will add a more cinematic experience to your battles. After enough destruction, some stages will have transitions. There are no combo numbers added or extra damages during stage transitions, but they look fantastic. The game also includes a new 2v2 mode that will allow up to 4 players to battle it out in a team battle.

Additionally, players will be able to relive the story of My Hero Academia by completing the story mode that now includes the most recent Shie Hassaikai Arc. Players will be able to save Eri and bring Justice to the Yakuza.

My Hero One’s Justice 2 has changed their battle systems by including a stamina bar. The bar will deplete when you block and when you use certain moves like the new sidestep mechanic.

With so many new characters, new features, and an expanded story, My Hero One’s Justice 2 is looking a lot like a must-buy for any fan of the series.

There are a lot of fans of My Hero Academia out there, but what about the weebs? My Hero One’s Justice 2 will have multiple versions for purchase. The Standard game, Digital Deluxe edition, and the Collector’s Edition.

Differences between the Standard Edition and the Digital Deluxe edition are that the Digital Deluxe edition will come with My Hero One’s Justice 2’s season pass. No word on what the season pass will include, but if it is anything like the first game, it will consist of more playable characters. The Digital Edition will be $79.99.

My Hero One’s Justice 2 Collector’s Edition will separate the zeros from the heroes with it’s included swag. The owners of this set will get an exclusive 20cm LED Figure of Demi, Exclusive steel cover of the game, a collectors box. Owners will also receive a My Hero Academia shikishi, and Deku and Overhaul keychains with a game badge. One collector’s edition for all who have $120.99.

Of course, like most games that come out in this day and age, My Hero One’s Justice 2 has some pre-order bonuses. The character Nomu will unlock for those that order any edition of the game. Overhaul - Version 2 and Izuku Midoriya - Full Cowling 100% will also be available as an early unlock. Players of the first game will unlock new customization costumes for Midoriya.

My Hero Academia has been a great anime, but a game must be something more than a story. It’s an experience that has to be lived through every time you join a match. Let’s hope that My Hero One’s Justice 2 will deliver that PLUS ULTRA!!!

Wait...there's more.
